In a world of go, go, go, having instant access to things is a true blessing. However, it also creates ideas of instant gratification. In fact, the idea of “I have earned this or I deserve this” put a false context into our lives. Sadly, theses ideas of quick and easy leak into the health and fitness sectors. As such, we look for the fastest ways, mostly to appease our vanity, with little thought of long term health. So, off we go searching for the two day fix or maybe at max a 90 day challenge.

What we don’t realize is that is a race you will lose over and over again. Yep, you are now on the Yo-Yo weight loss journey. If you continue to try this method, your attempts at weight loss will spiral out of control and you will be left frustrated.

The best way is to keep your eye on the prize and choose the healthy choices each time day in and day out.  

Surely you are saying, “who wants to take the slow route when everyone else hits their weight loss goals quicker with other methods?” Yep, it does seem unreasonably. Who does not want quick results? But, time has shown again and again, that those who slowly lose weight maintain that weight loss better. Additionally, building positive healthy habits day after day will continue being beneficial in weight management and further health improvements. Steady wins the race!
