Is Your Health a Good Reason for this Season?

Holiday Season

Simply, don’t have a ho hum holiday. Substitute that with a healthy yum or active fun holiday. In today’s world, we tempted with calorie dense food and time where we just lounge around. This year let’s flip that script.

Finding real joyfulness

We spend way too much time with a screen in our face whether it is a television, phone, computer or other electronic device. During the holidays, there are so many other productive things we could do. Let’s try this holiday charcuterie board instead.

  • There are Christmas activities galore. So whether you take a stroll while gazing at Christmas lights or you go sledding or ice skating, just get out and be active.
  • The great light show down. While your neighbors maybe making the homes a glow with an unmentioned competition, you can find or create your own. My wife and love doing holiday themed 5k’s. If you want a do it yourself run/walk challenge, set a distance and run through your neighborhood streets seeing who can find the most houses lit up for Christmas.
  • Did uncle Vinny bring his favorite holiday ham again? The holidays are filled with family gatherings and parties galore. Your festive spirit will be filled and so will your belly. Be smart when heading to these get togethers. You can eat before or work your moderation magic. But, whatever you do, don’t go ravishingly hungry.

Give and receive

During the holidays, we are busier and sometimes more stressed because of our hectic schedule. “The best laid plans…go awry.” Yet, you need to come to the table with a plan. Moreover, that plan needs action, but that is not all. This season you will reward yourself (maybe some Sweatbotics Coaching) when you hit your target. Make sure you give your all so you can receive. Yet, let’s not sabotage ourselves with a reward that is on the unhealthy side. Stay true to your purpose and each year your habits will be stronger and stronger.

Rise and Shine, my fitness friends!
